Hot summer – August brings 3 new clients

The holiday month of August has proven to be anything but a vacation for the EASTWEST teams in Singapore and Beijing. Avnet,  one of the world’s largest industrial distributors of electronic parts, enterprise computing and storage products and embedded subsystems, engaged the agency in Singapore to manage the APAC-ASEAN media relations. The first  activity was a series of media interviews for Philip Gallagher, Avnet Technology Solutions Global President alongside K.P. Tang, President, Avnet Technology Solutions AP and VP of Avnet Inc., and William Chu, Avnet Technology Solutions VP, General Manager, Asean. The management team met with journalists in Singapore and Malaysia to share the positioning of Avnet as a vital player in the technology  supply chain in Asia Pacific with an emphasis on providing solutions to clients in the areas of virtualisation, storage, network security and mobility. Coincidentally Avnet Electronics Marketing, a division of AVNET Inc., is a partner of Emerson Network Power, one of the existing EASTWEST clients. Hard on the heels of this came work in India to announce ‘ F5 Appoints Avnet TS as Distributor in India.’ A release issued and followed up by the Singapore team. Symbio Group, Founded by a group of IBM R&D scientists in 1994 with over 1,000 professionals in 13 offices, contracted with the Beijing offices of EASTWEST Public Relations to engage the media. Symbio is based in north Beijing and works with Companies including  AOL, BMC, CA, EA, IBM, Microsoft, Symantec and Symbian. Nortel Networks, a recognized leader in delivering communications,  returned to EASTWEST PR after an absence of 2 years. Within weeks of being appointed the Singapore team has managed press briefings in the Philippines and Thailand for an Enterprise Strategy update.  EASTWEST worked with Nortel for 4 years before a global realignment sent them to an MNC agency. We are delighted to have them back as a client.
