International Project Management Manual to create a total quality standard for delivering petrochemical and construction projects along the Belt and Road Initiative.
Beijing, China (21.08.2018) Enstoa, Inc, the only global professional services firm that specializes in capital projects improvement, today announced its collaboration with Sinopec Engineering Group (HKEX:2386) (“SEG”) in the formulation of their International Project Management Manual (IPMM). Since their IPO in 2013, SEG has vowed to grow internationally through the pursuit of building excellence in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) projects around the world. With Enstoa’s deep functional and digital expertise in international capital projects and proven, repeatable methodologies to improve project portfolio performance, they were engaged to develop an IPMM that will be used by SEG executives on all future company-wide EPCC projects both inside China and overseas. The implementation of the IPMM is part of SEG’s strategy to fully engage the opportunities created by the “Belt and Road Initiative” (BRI).
The IPMM is the compilation of professional and technical expertise structured to manage SEG’s international EPCC projects, and to provide a framework for professionally training existing and new staff. The focus of the IPMM is on standardization, normalization, and execution of project management capabilities, drawing together best practices from Enstoa’s vast collective experience and also worldwide industry bodies including the Construction Industry Institute (CII), the Project Management Institute (PMI), and the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International.

SEG has played a leading role in the global energy engineering industry for decades, and has implemented over 100 projects internationally. Historically, SEG has established business platforms in all regions with large oil refinery and chemical engineering capital output including the Middle East, Central Asia, Asia-Pacific, Africa, and South America, including oil refinery and chemical engineering projects in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Katar, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Bangladesh. The inclusion of new territories and new staff has led to the demand for a consistent and comprehensive approach to project management, embodied in the IPMM.
