Steve Jobs: The Legacy

When word was tweeted, wall posted and announced that Apple co-founder and tech God Steve Jobs had lost his long battle with pancreatic cancer, it shook the world, as Apple fans took to every social media engine available to pay respects. Looking back, Steve Jobs has had a long battle with life, as co-founder of Apple, he fought his way to the top of the computing industry before being forced to resign by the Board of Directors. He went on creating NeXt and took over Pixar which were both very successful enterprises. Meanwhile, Apple computers lost its flair, its magic and without its iconic showman and CEO, the company was slowly falling into oblivion. When Apple bought over NeXt, Steve Jobs returned as CEO and since then, a legend was reborn. Dozens of articles and tribute were written and are still being written over the death of Jobs but we will remember how this college drop out went on to become the man who changed the world (literally). Social Media would not be the Social Media we know today if Steve Jobs had not launched the iPhone which sparked an industry trend for better, faster and more intricate technologies. He was the agent that revolutionised mobility; mobile devices, mobile content, sharing on the go and inspired creativity and innovation. Said Jobs: "It’s really hard to design products by focus groups. A lot of times, people don’t know what they want until you show it to them." And he lived by this mantra with every Apple devices he launched over the past decade. The showman will no longer entertain the crowd but he will live on as the visionary we all know he was.
